Pastor Charlie Abbate was born in New York, grew up in San Diego, finished college in South Jersey, lived in Manhattan, Los Angeles, Illinois, and now in Abington, PA. He has worked in advertising, as a professional actor, and salesman and now is thrilled that the Lord has called him to use this wide and varied background to preach the gospel and share the good news of Jesus Christ to Amber and the surrounding area. Charlie wants to see non-Christians receive the gift of forgiveness and salvation in Jesus, and for Christians to build stronger relationships with God, His Word, and each other. Charlie and his wife Cheryl have five children and two beagles.

Elder Vince Corvino is one of the original members of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church and was our first Deacon. He is Owner and President of A.V.Coppola Plumbing - Heating - A/C., Inc. a family owned business since 1923. Vince is married to Helen and they have three children.

Elder Sandy Finlayson is Director of Library Services and Professor of Theological Bibliography at Westminster Theological Seminary. Sandy has degrees from the University of Toronto, MLS, and Tyndale Theological Seminary, MTS. Before moving to Philadelphia, Sandy served as an ordained elder in the Toronto congregation of the Free Church of Scotland. Sandy is married to Linda, who is the Administrative Assistant at Cornerstone and they have one son. He is the author of; Unity and Diversity: the Founders of the Free Church of Scotland.

Elder Richard B. Gaffin Jr. With degrees from Calvin College (B.A. 1958) and Westminster Theological Seminary (B.D., 1961; Th.M., 1962; TH.D. 1969), and additional graduate studies at the Georg-August Universitat, Gottingen (1962-1963),
Dr. Gaffin has been a minister in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church and on the faculty of Westminster since 1965. Originally in the department of New Testament, he has taught systematic theology since the mid-1980s. He is the author of many books, including;
Resurrection and Redemption,
Perspectives on Pentecost,
Calvin and the Sabbath. and
By Faith, Not by Sight: Paul and the Order of Salvation.
He has contributed articles and chapters to numerous theological publications. Dr. Gaffin and his wife Jean, have three children and nine grandchildren.

Elder Cris Simpson left the field of computer architecture after 20 years to attend Westminster Theological Seminary, where he is currently pursuing the M.Div. degree. He previously served as a Ruling Elder in the Presbyterian Church in America. He and his wife Margaret have two children.

Elder Tom Sorkness has been an ordained elder in the OPC for close to twenty years. He and his family began attending Cornerstone Presbyterian Church (then Gwynedd Valley OPC) in 2006. Tom has been at various times both a history teacher and administrator at Philadelphia-Montgomery Christian Academy for the past 25 years. He and his wife Lois have eight children. Both Tom and Lois serve on the planning committee for the Presbyterian Family Week held annually at Harvey Cedars Bible Conference in New Jersey.

Teacher Carl R. Trueman is the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Professor of Historical Theology and Church History, Westminster Theological Seminary.
M.A., St. Catharine’s College, Cambridge, 1988; Ph.D., University of Aberdeen, 1991; Tutorial Assistant in Church History, University of Aberdeen, 1991–1993; Lecturer in Theology, University of Nottingham, 1993–1998; Senior Lecturer in Church History, University of Aberdeen, 1998–2001; Westminster, 2001–.
Carl is also an ordained minister of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church.
