Ben Dahlvang and his wife Anna have been members of Cornerstone since 2008, after moving to the area from Minnesota. Ben is the Associate Director of wtsbooks.com. Before moving to Pennsylvania, Ben worked in the construction industry for 8 years. Ben and Anna have one son and one daughter.
Elder Sandy Finlayson is Director of Library Services and Professor of Theological Bibliography at Westminster Theological Seminary. Sandy has degrees from the University of Toronto, MLS, and Tyndale Theological Seminary, MTS. He is the author of; Thomas Chalmers, in the Bitesize Biography Series and Unity and Diversity: the Founders of the Free Church of Scotland.
Sandy is married to Linda, who is the Administrative Assistant at Cornerstone and the author of books for children.
They have one son.
Cris Simpson, Associate Pastor
In addition to serving as Associate Pastor of the congregation, Cris Simpson is also Systems Architect for wtsbooks.com. He holds an M.Div from Westminster Theological Seminary (2011). He also holds a Bachelor of Computer Engineering degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and worked in the computer industry for twenty years. He and his wife Margaret have two children and one dog. All but the dog began attending Cornerstone in 2007 after the family moved from Oregon.
Elder Tom Sorkness has been an ordained elder in the OPC for more than twenty years. He and his family began attending Cornerstone Presbyterian Church (then Gwynedd Valley OPC) in 2006. Tom has been at various times both a history teacher and administrator at Philadelphia-Montgomery Christian Academy for the past 25 years. He and his wife Lois have eight children. Both Tom and Lois serve on the planning committee for the Presbyterian Family Week held annually at Harvey Cedars Bible Conference in New Jersey.
Carl R. Trueman, Pastor
In addition to serving as our Pastor, Carl R. Trueman is Professor of Historical Theology and Church History and Paul Wooley Chair of Church History at Westminster Theological Seminary. Carl has degrees from St. Catharine's College, Cambridge, MA and the University of Aberdeen, Ph.D.
Carl has authored many books, including, most recently Luther on the Christian Life: Cross and Freedom. He also blogs regularly at First Things and co-hosts the Mortification of Spin podcast. He lives in Oreland, with his wife, Catriona, and has two sons.
Elder Charles Williams holds a BA in History (2004) an MA in European History (2007) from the University of North Florida and a M.Div. from Westminster Theological Seminary. He taught high school for several years in Jacksonville, Florida, before attending Westminster Theological Seminary in Glenside, Pennsylvania. He is presently on leave from the Cornerstone Session as he undertakes a pastoral internship at Redeemer OPC in Ada Michigan.
